Cobb Sports Group was founded on a simple principle: elite athletes deserve elite advocacy.
Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Alexander Nguyen built his foundation on discipline, education, and service. He earned his undergraduate degree in Finance from Southern Methodist University before continuing at SMU Dedman School of Law, where he developed the legal training that would shape his professional career.
For more than 15 years, he has practiced as an attorney, representing and advising professional athletes across a range of legal and business matters. Throughout that time, he has worked closely with athletes at the highest levels — negotiating, protecting, and advocating for their interests with precision and integrity.
That same skill set now serves as the cornerstone of Cobb Sports Group.
As a certified NFLPA Contract Advisor, he brings legal experience, financial understanding, and strategic negotiation expertise directly into the representation business. His background as an attorney provides a disciplined, detail-oriented approach to contracts, draft positioning, and long-term career planning.
But beyond credentials and experience, his work is relationship-driven.
Over the course of his career, he has developed lasting friendships with many of the athletes he has represented and advised. He believes representation should extend beyond transactions — it should be built on trust, accessibility, and long-term commitment.
Cobb Sports Group is not a volume-based agency. It is a boutique firm focused on personalized strategy, consistent communication, and intentional career development.
He resides in the Plano, Texas area with his wife and their three children. Family, integrity, and loyalty are not simply values he promotes — they are principles he lives by.
